Dear El Monte Union Community,

El Monte Union High School District invites the community to watch a special video celebrating El Monte High School’s (EMHS) 125th anniversary.

The video, which was featured during the September 19 community celebration, highlights the history of EMHS and the formation of El Monte Union, tracing the schools’ roots from 1901 through today, while looking ahead to the future. The video also features reflections and testimonials from members of the EMHS campus community.

The anniversary celebration brought together alumni, students, local officials and representatives, staff, and community members to commemorate 125 years of education, memories, and milestones.

We invite you to take a look back at where El Monte High School began, celebrate where it is today, and see where its story is headed next.
