Before you render an item obsolete, please follow the instructions below. If you have any questions, please contact the Purchasing Department at (626) 444-9005 x9850 or Purchasing@emuhsd.org

1. If it is a technology related item such as a computer, printer, monitor, etc…. Please contact your site technician. Site technicians will determine if items can be rendered as surplus, obsolete or irreparable. Site technicians will follow steps 2 through 6.
2. Please make your entries in the Google Sheets document: Please click here to view file

• Open shared link, find your site tab and enter your surplus items before deadline. 
• Record/enter asset tag number(s) on the form and remove the asset tag(s) from item(s).
• Provide the Purchasing Department with your approved list prior to deadline.
• Download/Print list and obtain an authorized signature. (e-Sign or Wet Signature)     

3. Record/enter asset tag number(s) on the form and remove the asset tag(s) from item(s).
4. The Purchasing Department will send all approved retirement items for Board Approval.

5. After the items have been board approved to be discarded, each site will work with the Purchasing Department in making arrangements for the removal of items.

Note: Do not take surplus/obsolete items to the Warehouse without prior arrangements.
