The vision of the El Monte Union High School District is to empower and motivate our students to be resilient, college and career-ready, lifelong learners and contributing members of our global society. The mission of the El Monte Union High School District is to:
- Advocate, nurture, and sustain a positive school culture through a challenging and rigorous, standards-based curriculum that promotes achievement for all students;
- Ensure management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient and effective learning environment that is conducive to student learning and staff professional growth;
- Collaborate with families and community members, respond to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilize community resources;
- Model a personal and institutional code of ethics and develop professional leadership capacity
- Promote college and career readiness skills for all students

Ivy League-Bound El Monte Union Senior Surprised with $50,000 Edison Scholarship
Rosemead High School senior Carmen Ung was in second grade when her father came home with a family gift, a Dell tabletop computer. Ung was immediately fascinated – the way the screen lit up her face, the ability to explore new worlds with a touch of the keypad – she knew right away that technology would change her life.

El Monte Union High School District broke ground on a transformative modernization of its Rosemead Center Adult Education Complex on April 16, marking a major milestone in its ongoing efforts to expand educational opportunities.

El Monte Union Students Gain Real-World Money Skills During Financial Literacy Fair
Mountain View High School (MVHS) empowered students to take control of their financial futures during its inaugural Financial Literacy Fair on April 10, an interactive event led by the school’s U.S. Bank student interns, which offered hands-on activities and peer-to-peer lessons in recognition of Financial Literacy Month.
