The health and safety of our students, staff, and community will remain at the center of our planning and decision making for the next school year.
The District is following recommendations and requirements on cleaning and disinfecting during outbreaks of infectious diseases put forth by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control guidelines. The District has developed a COVID-19 supply lists for EMUHSD school sites, which would include, but not limited to, the following items:
- Disinfectant
- Wipes
- Gloves
- Face masks
- Hand sanitizer
The supply list will be stocked in the District’s warehouse (dependent on backorders) and our being distributed to all school sites prior to the 2020-2021 school year. The District has also ordered countertop screens for multiple areas on each campus. New items will be added as deemed necessary for ongoing safety considerations.
The Facilities Maintenance Operations and Transportation (FMOT) Department is conducting an analysis of each school to determine the capacity of students in each classroom, based on social distancing guidelines.
The District’s dedicated Custodial crews will continue to provide deep cleaning of schools. Future protocols will be responsive within the Reopen and Reimagine Schools plan.
