• 9th Grade

    • An intitial registration interview for each student
    • Parent or student conference, as requested
    • Orientation to the school's career center program
    • A personalized four-year educational plan developed for the student, updated by a counselor and communicated to the parents
    • Orientation meeting for parents and incoming 9th grade students
    • Personal counseling, as needed
    • Registration, scheduling and program adjustments (school initiated)
    • A special grade check for student progress, if requested by parents
    • A referral to an outside agency or other community resources, if requested by parents or students
    • Career center opportunities
    • Pre-college testing information - PSAT
    • Invitation to parents and students to a college planning night

     

    10th Grade

    • All services provided at 9th grade plus:
    • Orientation to the school's career center program
    • Credit check
    • PSAT - October sophomore year 

     

    11th Grade

    • All services provided at the 9th and 10th grade plus:
    • College bound students will be given:

                  - planning and financial information

                  - opportunity to meet with college representatives

                  - pre-college testing information - ACT, PSAT, SAT

    • Information provided to parents and students of student's progress toward graduation if deficiencies are anticipated
    • Transcript evaluation
    • Parent workshop on college admission process
    • SAT Day (March)

     

    12th Grade

    • All services provided at the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades plus:
    • College bound students will be given:

                 - SAT/ACT testing dates

                 - assistance with applications for financial aid, scholarships and admissions, as necessary

    • Outline of options for students not planning to attend college
