  • The mission of Rosemead High School is to enable all students to acquire the skills needed to live productively and creatively in a diverse society. We will develop self-esteem and empower students to take positive control of their own lives. We will foster an appreciation of individuals of all cultures and beliefs. We will encourage life-long intellectual curiosity and sensitivity to the arts. We will promote physical well-being and self-discipline in a safe environment. We intend to produce educated, responsible citizens who will become contributing members of our democratic society.

  • District Extends School Dismissal through May 4

    To summarize the district information RHS will be keeping with the orders and to promote social distancing efforts, we will be extending the temporary school dismissal period through May 4, with a tentative return date of Tuesday, May 5, assuming the county’s order is lifted April 19. We plan to observe our scheduled Spring Break from April 13-17 and are hopeful to return the first week of May, if not sooner.
    We will continue to support RHS students through our distance learning instructional program and food nutrition program, which is open to children 18 years and younger from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. See our District  website for details and please share with your students.

    During the dismissal period (March 16-27), El Monte Union - in conjunction with our partner elementary school districts - will continue to provide breakfast and lunch "Grab-and-go" meals to all children 18 years or younger from 9 a.m. to noon.

    drive-up/walk-up curbside service will be available at the front of the schools. The student name and identification card are NOT required for access to school meals during this time, but they must be present. All students are eligible to receive a meal at one of the following locations:
