Our Mission

  • The mission of Rosemead High School is to enable all students to acquire the skills needed to live productively and creatively in a diverse society. We will develop self-esteem and empower students to take positive control of their own lives. We will foster an appreciation of individuals of all cultures and beliefs. We will encourage life-long intellectual curiosity and sensitivity to the arts. We will promote physical well-being and self-discipline in a safe environment. We intend to produce educated, responsible citizens who will become contributing members of our democratic society.

  • RHS Auditorium Bring Magic of the Arts to Students, Community

    The Sugar Plum Fairy and her flock of snowflakes were among the more than 70 international ballet dancers who delicately waltzed, leaped and pirouetted during a magical performance of holiday favorite, “The Nutcracker,” in front of a sold-out crowd of students and families at EMUHSD’s auditorium on Dec. 10.   • Farmers to Families Food Boxes to be Distributed in June; Access a Free Summer 2020 Meal Program

    Arroyo, El Monte and Mountain View high schools will distribute USDA Farmers to Families Food Boxes during the month of June. They will be distributed along with summer free breakfast and lunch grab-and-go meals, which are available 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Fridays. Find other summer meal distribution sites.

    South El Monte High School has been named to the 2020 Top Los Angeles County Public Schools for Underserved Students list for helping to close the opportunity gap for low-income Latino students in Los Angeles County and helping them flourish despite the obstacles.

  • Update: Class of 2020 Car Parade Diploma Celebrations

    We are pleased to inform that you that our six high schools will hold their Car Parade Diploma Celebrations on June 4 as planned. However, in response to county-wide curfews that may be in place over the next several days, our schools will amend their schedules to begin parades earlier, ensuring they end before the anticipated L.A County curfew time of 6 p.m.
