Summer School Starts Monday, June 16, 2025

Dear Students and Parents,

We’re excited to remind you that summer school will begin on Monday, June 16, 2025, and run through Friday, July 18, 2025. Across the district, we are proud to continue offering valuable opportunities to help students stay on track for graduation and college eligibility through our credit recovery programs available at each high school.

This year, we’ve partnered with Rio Hondo College for our summer school credit recovery program. Together, EMUHSD and Rio Hondo are offering a variety of courses designed to support your student’s academic progress and growth in meeting graduation and college entrance requirements. Your student is receiving this message because they are enrolled in one or more of these partnership courses, which may include English, math, science, and/or social science courses.

As part of this partnership, EMUHSD and Rio Hondo College will share student data and academic records related to these courses in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Education Code Sections 76200–76246, and federal regulations (34 CFR Part 99).

There is no additional action needed from you at this time. The summer program will continue to be offered and supervised by EMUHSD staff. Please make sure to review any communication from your student’s school for specific details about start times, daily schedules, and locations.
