CELL PHONE POLICY
Inappropriate use of cell phones during school hours continues to have a negative effect on instruction and student engagement in the classroom. Please review the cell phone usage policy below with your child:
- All students must have cell phones kept off during class/instruction time.
- Security, safety, and support of the device remain the student’s responsibility.
- Rosemead High School (RHS) will not be held liable for the theft, loss of data, or damage to a device.
- RHS will not become involved in the recovery of these types of items should they be stolen or lost on school grounds, or school-sponsored events.
Consequences for misuse of any PERSONAL device including cell phones:
1st Offense: Warning & parent notified by the teacher.
2nd Offense: Item sent to the guidance office to be released to parent/guardian only, with proper ID on Fridays between 2:45-3:00pm.
3rd Offense: Item sent to the guidance office to be released to parent/guardian only, with proper ID at the end of the current grading period.
4th Offense: Item sent o guidance office to be released to parent/guardian with proper ID at the end of the current semester.
