• Goals:

    1. Common lesson planning: (essential questions, writing prompts, research, projects, tests, etc.) in each grade level. Noted on Curriculum Maps (living, working document, updated as the year progresses):
      1. Economics
      2. Government
      3. US History
      4. World History
    2. Update Social Science Model Google Classrooms with common lessons, assessments, and projects in accordance to the curriculum maps.
    3. Focus curriculum around these four skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Research (CAASPP Claims).
    4. Administer one course-level common assessment (FIAB) each semester:
      US History: Research: Evaluate Information and Sources (Fall), Research: Analyze and Integrate Information (Spring)
      World History: Language and Vocabulary Use (Fall), Research: Use Evidence (Spring)
      Ethnic Studies: Listen/Interpret (one semester)
    5. Support RHS and its students outside of the classroom
    6. Be Awesome

    Plan of Action:

    1. Delegate 3 department late starts per semester to serve as a Course Lead meeting. Review and compare assessments and data. Continue to update team drive with a shared curriculum. Progress measured with a common assignment per unit.
    2. Create assessment windows and administer common assessments, data reflect at Staff PD sessions
    3. Students in World and US History will use their Essay Organizer and write a minimum of 1 structured paragraph to answer an essential question per unit.
    4. Attend one extracurricular activity per semester
