Wellness Centers
-
EMUHSD has established Wellness Centers on all campuses. Wellness Center programs are committed to empowering our students and providing a safe and positive environment with educational learning facilities that offer evidence-based resources to address a wide variety of student and community needs and actively promote wellness, resiliency and the de-stigmatization of mental health.
Wellness Centers are open to all students before and after school, during nutrition, and lunch.
The Wellness Centers provide a variety of services designed to support students' well-being. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Wellness Passes: Allow students to take a break and visit the center when they need a moment to relax and recharge or meet with a Wellness Coordinator.
- Open Center: A welcoming space where students can drop in at any time for support or to participate in wellness activities.
- Group & Behavioral Intervention Workshops: These sessions focus on social emotional wellness, developing coping strategies, and fostering positive behaviors.
- Linkage to Resources & Referrals: Connections to community-based mental health or additional community support and assistance.
- Wellness Campaigns & Initiatives: Year-round efforts to raise awareness and promote mental health and wellness within the school community.
