Los Angeles Public Library
Services: Following Mayor Garcetti’s directive, we want to share the steps the library is taking to protect the health and safety of our patrons and staff while still providing essential library services:
- We have closed the Central Library and the 72 branch libraries until further notice.
- During this time, no late fines will be assessed for overdue items, and patrons can return materials when libraries reopen with no penalty.
- Librarians are available to provide assistance through the web-based service, Ask a Librarian.
- Our many digital services remain available 24/7 at lapl.org, including e-books and audiobooks; streaming TV, movie and music services; classes and digital subscriptions to newspapers and magazines.
- We created and will continue to update this resource page in English and Spanish with information about the COVID-19 virus and how to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Services: The programs offered at San Gabriel Region’s community services’ centers include: emergency and basic needs assistance, such as food, clothing, temporary shelter through motel vouchers, transportation, specialized rental and utilities assistance programs for low-income families, and on-site assistance with application for CalFresh benefits.

Services: CalFresh is California's food stamps (SNAP) program. Apply to get up to $194 a month per household member on an EBT card. “CalFresh is for low-income individuals and families. These individuals may qualify if their household’s gross monthly income is below the Federal Income Eligibility guidelines.”
