  • AVID is a four-year college preparatory class that provides students with instruction and support to prepare them for eligibility to a four-year college. They graduate and attend college at higher rates, but more importantly, they can think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations to confidently conquer the challenges that await them.

    In 47 states across the U.S., K–16 educators are driving student success through engaging, rigorous, and student-centered learning environments.

    In the AVID elective class, you can expect to:

    • Visit colleges
    • Learn time management and organization skills
    • Collaborate in tutorial groups with college tutors
    • Research colleges and career opportunities
    • Host/attend fundraisers and social events like the annual AVID Talent Show
