- How to Register

The health and safety of our staff and students continues to be a priority. Safety guidelines and protocols from the California Health Department and LA County Department of Public Health will be followed.
Class Delivery Method
Classes will be offered on campus or online using a blended or independent model. (Class Schedules)
Teacher Directed
Students attend a scheduled class that has an instructor. May occur in-person or virtually.
- Traditional Classroom - Students meet in-person with a teacher in a classroom at school.
- Virtual - students meet virtually during scheduled class time.
- Hyflex - Class sessions that allow students to choose whether to attend classes in-person or online.
Independent Studies
Students work independently to complete courses.
- Distance Learning - Students meet individually with a teacher then take home packets with course work and assignments.
- Home Study - Students complete courses on their own. Textbook is purchased. Testing and teacher support in a lab setting.
- Independent - Students complete courses in a lab setting. Teacher support available.
- Online - All coursework: lessons, assignments, and tests are completed online.
Blended
- A portion of the course is teacher directed and the remaining portion is independent.
- Teacher time may be virtual or in-person.
- Independent work may be virtual or in a lab setting.

How to Register
Who May Attend?
Adults 18 and over who are not currently enrolled in a day high school may attend classes. Day school seniors checking out of local neighborhood high schools and transferring to the adult school for graduation the same year will be required to meet day school graduation requirements in full. Approval from the day school counselor and adult school counselor is necessary.Assessment
All new students are required to take an assessment test. The Assessment Center is located in room 118. In the Career Technical Education Department some training programs will require CTE Sequence orientation.Assessment Center Hours:
Monday - Thursday
8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday
8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
How to Register
After the assessment testing, students will register in room 120, which is open daily. Students must register in person. Registration dates and requirements vary by department. Please call 626.258.5800 or visit www.emras.edu for more information.Registration Office Hours:

Fees
$20 quarterly registration fee for Career Technical Education and Civic Engagement classes. Generally the fees are listed, but do vary by department in regard to the number, length, and type of courses. See individual departments for more information. A $5 class fee will be charged for each CTE class. Some courses may require additional program, lab or material fees. Fees, books and other supplies purchased at our bookstores must be paid with cash or credit card (Visa or Master Charge only). Checks are not accepted.
Class Cancellation
Classes with less than 18 students in attendance may be cancelled or consolidated. Students are urged to attend class regularly.Accreditation
The adult education program is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians and approved by the California State Department of Education.
