GENERAL ENCYCLOPEDIA
Britannica School: General Encylopedia articles on a variety of subjects. A good place to begin.
E-BOOK DATABASES
Gale Ebooks: Books on a variety of topics, including mental health, politics, and social issues.
Ebook Central: Mostly non-fiction e-books, with a few fiction e-books as well. To log in at home, you need to enter the database at school and create an account username and password. Alternatively, you can create a log in at home, but you will need to wait for authorization through a school employee.

Proquest Research: High-quality research articles from magazines, newspapers, journals, and other professional sources.
Proquest Central Student: A comprehensive collection of databases from across the high-school curriculum
E-library: Magazine and newspaper articles for general research. A beginning-level database collection.
NEWSPAPER DATABASES
US Major Newspapers: Five major daily newspapers in the United States
International Newstream: Important international newspapers from around the world.
Hispanic Newstream: United States Hispanic newspapers (in English and Spanish)
Complete Newspapers: All newspapers, large and small, in the ProQuest database
SUBJECT-SPECIFIC DATABASES
Issues Researcher: Controversial issues.
Stem Database: Research articles in science, technology, engineering, and math.
CultureGrams: Information about countries and U.S. States.
TeachingBooks.net: Book resources for teachers and students. At home, if you go to TeachingBooks.net without going through this link, you will need a special password that you can get from the school librarian.
Professional Development: Educational articles for teachers.
