National Suicide Prevention Month

Suicide Prevention National Suicide Prevention Month promotes awareness and provides resources involving suicide prevention including how you can help others and how to talk to others about suicide without increasing the risk of harm.

Suicidal thoughts can manifest in anyone regardless of age, gender or background. It is critical to note that suicidal thoughts and suicide occur too frequently, but should not be considered common and can point toward individual needs that require support. In many cases those affected by suicide are left in shock, feeling shame or stigmatized and this may prevent them from talking openly in order to receive help.

Please join the El Monte Union High School District in raising awareness for Suicide Prevention Month.
