El Monte Union’s October Superintendent’s Update is here! In this month’s video, Superintendent Dr. Edward Zuniga highlights a season of celebration, connection, and student engagement across the District. The update showcases vibrant Hispanic Heritage and Breast Cancer Awareness Month events, Arroyo High School’s 70th anniversary celebration, and South El Monte High School’s Track and Field Trunk or Treat. The video also features the College and Career Family Conference, where students explored future opportunities, as well as Facilities Master Plan Town Halls, giving families a voice in shaping the District’s future. El Monte High School history teacher Sara Quezada was also celebrated as El Monte Union’s 2025-26 District Teacher of the Year, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the school community.
