Technology plays an integral role within all instructional delivery models being presented for the 2020-21 school year. The El Monte Union High School District remains committed to providing "Access to ALL" for every student. Through our Access for All learning initiative and a wonderful partnership with the 1 Million Project, every EMUHSD student receives a dedicated Chromebook device, Google email account, and an internet hotspot (MiFi) device, should they not have reliable internet access at home.
To date, EMUHSD has provided 9,000+ Chromebooks to students and over 1800 MiFi internet hotspots. We have established over 1700 Google Classrooms to facilitate the daily flow of classroom instruction, materials, assignments, and more for the support our digital learning environments.
Incoming freshman will receive their devices prior to the start of Summer School or Fall Semester, whichever comes first in their schedules. The required form(s) for this program can be found here. A student Google account is required in order to fill out these forms. If the student has not yet received this information, they are encouraged to contact the school to have it emailed or a printed copy generate for pick up.
EMUHSD's team of dedicated technical support staff will continue to provide a vast array of support and guidance to our students, parents/guardians, and educators, for all sites regardless of what instructional models are in place for 2020-21.
