REVISED June 27thWelcome to our information page dedicated to the Grading Petition process for Spring and Summer terms, school year 2020. Below you will find a copy of the tutorial that was emailed to students on July 28th regarding the opportunity to determine if they would prefer to receive a letter grade over the default Credit (CR)/No Credit (NCR) option for the Summer term, just as was offered during out recent Spring semester. Once students have fully read the directions below and are ready to make their selection, simply navigate to https://portal.emuhsd.org and begin the process.
Summer 2020 Petition Process
Students will be able to make their final grading selections during the dates of Monday, July 27th until Sunday, August 16th for all of the 3 Summer School sessions. After the grading petition period has ended, the student's preferences will be locked in order for Summer School report cards and transcripts to be processed and sent home. Students will be able to view the final class grade submitted from their teachers for all 3 Summer sessions offered and decide whether they want the default Credit (No Credit for F's only) or the optional letter grade to appear on their transcript for the term. The final grades Summer Session 1 & 2 have already been submitted and Session #3 (freshman only) are due by 3pm on August 10th.
Students will have until August 16th, end of day (11:59pm), to make their final selections prior to report card processing. There will be no further extensions for the grading petition. Students can update their selections as many times at they want during the window but if no selection is made prior to the deadline, the grades will default to Credit for a passing (grades A-D) and No Credit (grade of F).Video Tutorials: 1) What is the grading petition 2) Why the letter grades can help students going to college
