Shanon Slack is an attorney who specializes in business litigation and is licensed to practice law in California and New York. This will be Slack’s first year as the Head Wrestling Coach of Rosemead High School. Slack competed in high school and college at the Division 1 level in Virginia. In high school, he was coached by Kelly Guempel where he was a High School All-American, then he was coached at the Division 1 level by legendary wrestling coach Steve Martin of the Granby School of Wrestling where he was a 2x All-American at University Nationals. Slack went on to compete at the highest level in tournaments around the world as a member of the Resident Athlete Program at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, where he was coached by Olympic Gold Medalists Steve Fraser, Momir Petkovic, and Anatoly Petrosyan. In the 2008 Olympic Trials, Slack narrowly missed earning a spot on the Olympic Team, losing to Jake Dietchler, the eventual representative for the U.S.A. at the 2008 Olympics in Bejing, China. Slack brings a wealth of experience and passion for the sport of wrestling to Rosemead.
